Прошло уже больше месяца с начала трагических событий в Японии. Но и сейчас нельзя с уверенностью сказать, что все позади. Никто не знает, каковы будут дальнейшие  последствия разрушений на АЭС, что будет с людьми, которых уже накрыла волна радиации, и с теми, кого она еще настигнет.
      Все это время мы поддерживали постоянную связь с Тедом и его семьей. Их грод Хитачи находится примерно на середине растояния между Токио и Фукусимой. Хоть по словам Теда у них нет разрушений от землетрясения и цунами, но где гарантия, что радиация тоже до них не доходит.
      Для тех, кто знает английский, с разрешения Теда мы хотим разместить некоторые из его последних писем.

Hi, Valentina. Thank you for your message and show me that you care.
Our situation is still difficult and we have no idea where we are
headed for in the future. We still have many aftershocks every day and
we will have them. We don't know when they will be terminated. God
knows!.
Please have a look at this map. You will know how many earthquakes we
have in Japan.

We can't expect effects by radioactive materials at present because
government and electric company don't say us the truth.
Where is you father now? I remember he is in the distant place. I hope
he will be getting better.

... I wish we could move to safer place but we couldn't because of my job, Gen's school, and our family. We will have to negotiate this situation here....

Hi, Valentina. I think it's a good idea for you to continue your blog.
I will check it out in my free time and add comments in the articles
I'm interested in. At present, aftershocks are becoming less and less.
But we can't expect if the earthquake will terminate or not. All we
can do is to live day by day. Thank you.
