Узнав о трагических событиях в Японии, вызванных землетрясением и его последствиями, мы сильно обеспокоены судьбой наших японских друзей Накано. Сразу же написав им, пришлось два дня ждать ответа. Сегодня Тед написал, что в их городе Хитачи разрушений нет, но разрушенная АЭС находится всего в 150 км от них. Много погибших, пострадавшие испытывают нехватку воды, продуктов питания и горючего. Только сегодня им подключили электричество и интернет, и он смог ответить. Ниже я приведу полный текст письма Теда.
Выражаем соболезнование и поддержку всем пострадавшим во время землетрясения и цунами, их близким и всему японскому народу.
Сообщаем, что временно приостанавливаем публикацию новых материалов в блоге.

"Hi, Valentina and Slava. We are managed to be doing fine. The earthquake we had was magnitude 9 on Richter scale. We had big tsunami and many people are dead because of that. One of the serious problems is one of the nuclear power plants has been melted down. It's 150 km from here. I've got power an hour ago and can be hooked up on the Internet. We run short of food? water and fuel. It will take a long time to get back to regular patterns of our daily life. Keep in touch.

ОтветитьУдалитьWhat a great site, Slava!!! I am finally here to visit it! We are fine in Okinawa...we did not have any earthquakes or a tsunami. It is terrible about what has happened in northern Japan and we are all very concerned and wish to help.
It has been 10 years since I visited Moshkovo...can you believe it?! And look at your picture over on the right! You look exactly the same as then! Ok, I had better look at all of the pictures!!

Wanda, thank you for the words of support towards our friends from Hitachi. We are worried about them greatly. Ted writes that they are OK but the situation itself is rather difficult.
